Thailand to Build Its Own Boundless Firewall of Internet Censorship A single gateway internet is to be set up in Thailand. This decision has been made by the Thai Government through the relevant ministries. Thailand has been clear on its stand about websites that display overt pornography or tarnish the names of its leaders. Internet censorship is conducted by the Royal Thai Police, the Communications Authority of Thailand, and the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MICT). Prior to the September 2006 military coup d'état, 34,411 web sites were blocked by all three government agencies. When people think of Google censoring search results, China is the first nation that comes to mind, and not without reason. Until March 2010, Google had submitted to China's Internet censorship policies, blocking search results that discussed the Tiananmen Square massacre, the Taiwan independence movement, etc.
As of now, Internet Censorship in Thailandis limited to website access only.
